Classical music repertoire can be likened to a garden filled with marvellous flowers of various colour and size.
Unfortunately, some of the flowers are at the risk of not being noticed of even of being forgotten because they live in the shadow of more notable and recognizable varietes .
Our organization and festival "I fiori della musica " aims to rediscover and brings to light these hidden masterworks, the "flowers"  of classical  music...
 
The  festival is divided  in two different categories :
-   music written for two pianos  
-   repertoire for piano and string quartet/quintet

 

Music for two pianos

 
-   piano concertos, specially one from the Romantic era, performed in a two pianos version with the second piano playing the orchestral reduction.
-   orchestral works arranged for two pianos
( symphonies, ouvertures, symphonic poems and so on )
-   epertoire composed specifically for two pianos
 

Music for piano and string quartet/quintet


We think we are living a new golden era for this kind of domestic concerts
like we were again in the 18th or 19th centuries
and this will become a  very important part in the repertoire of future of 
musical  programms. These kind of scores allow  pianists and musicians
to play also in small concert halls or in private houses
the most known repertoire of romantic piano concertos.
 
The festival mainly present the piano concertos arranged for piano ( original part ) and strings
( 2 violins, 1 viola, 1 cello and 1 Dbass )
The existing repertoire actually comprehends piano concertos from Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Mendelssohn ,Schumann , Haydn and few others  .

It's our intention to promote the existing repertoire and also adding new arrangements of the most famoust and performend romantic piano concertos into piano and string quintet.
